Annie grew up in Montgomery County and Philadelphia and loves working with students and inspiring them to find a love for music whether it is through singing or playing instruments, her students are always inspired and excited to learn from her! Annie thrives in both the private and group lesson setting and truly loves sharing her musical knowledge with students of all ages including the science, physicality and beauty of vocal performance in addition to enjoying both the flute and piano. She is a big believer in self learning and personal growth, so you can always count on learning new things! Throughout your time with Annie you or your child will find a love of music that they will always treasure and take with them in the years to come!
Annie Rogers has studied vocal performance at both Bucks County Community College with renowned faculty such as Rochelle Reed and with Dr. Laurie Gratis at Temple University. She has a wealth of experience and is currently singing with various prestigious choral ensembles such as Cantus Novus, Cordus Mundi (and Friends), the Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers groups at Bucks County Community College and is currently singing at the Trinity Episcipal Church in Solebury and other events in our community. Annie is also currently teaching piano and voice at various music schools in our community and is a CRLA III Master Tutor at BCCC.
In the past, she has sung with various other groups including performing Elijah with Bucks County Choral Society, the debut of Galatea_Reset, an opera written by two Temple University faculty members, among others. Most notably, she sang “The Star Spangled Banner” with the BCCC Madrigals at a Phillies games as well as golf outings and other opening ceremonies.
In the foundation of her musicality, she performed in Marching Band and Drumline, with performances all over the tri-state area and beyond in places such as Dayton, Ohio, Virginia Beach and Disney World. She began playing flute at the age of 8 and has vast experience playing in Marching and Symphonic Band and continues to play in choral settings. She has studied piano with the Bucks County teacher Elizabeth Crockett and with the distinguished piano faculty at BCCC, Edward Ferdinand and most recently with Lisa Landley.
