Cheryl is a wonderful educator with experience in both voice and piano education. She loves working with children and brings an exciting and warm environment into her music lessons. Cheryl loves to not only help her students improve as musicians, but she also loves seeing them develop self confidence and sees how studying music helps children in various aspects of their lives! Cheryl graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Elementary Music Education.
She found a love for music during her schooling and continued her studies in music at HBU. She has served as an accompanist for both a youth choir and Sunday evening church services. While living in Houston, TX, she sang with the Houston Symphony Chorus from 1990-2002.
During this time she was an educator in both 3rd grade as well as a music teacher. She was the Houston Symphony Chorus Manager during some of her time with the chorus and taught private piano lessons. She then relocated to Syracuse, NY in 2002 and was a private piano teacher and participated in various concerts with the Syracuse Oratorio Society.
Since relocating to this area in 2008, she has sung in various concerts with the Philadelphia Singers. She is a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church (Solebury) choir and a member of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem. Cheryl is very excited to be teaching voice to children and piano to students of all ages at Bucks County School of Music! Come join Cheryl in you or your child’s musical journey!
